Somewhat pleasant stay in Hoedspruit
I enjoy the serene ambiance and contemporary style of the lodge. Although the rooms were beautiful, they were somewhat on the small side.
The lodge lacks the meticulous attention to detail typically associated with a 5-star establishment. They don't adequately cater to small children, as the kids club requires prior booking (which wasn't communicated at check-in) and charges a fee for access, though they accommodated us after speaking with the manager. Standard rooms lack amenities like gowns and slippers; these are only provided in superior rooms, which isn't in line with 5-star expectations. Breakfast service needs improvement, with a single person manning the egg station and empty dishes needing prompt replenishment, especially considering breakfast ends at 11 am (We were there around 10am) The bar offers limited drink options, and service is notably slow.

Pleasant and breathtaking :)
I always dread writing reviews about places for the few following reasons: 1. They may not even be read, 2. It's tedious and time consuming. 3. There's very little chance that I may visit the place again. This time however, I'm compelled to write one and I hope that you actually read it. Here it goes: BEAUTIFUL PLACE! I loved the scenery and elegance of the whole design. I didn't know about the Private suites until I got there and I would have loved to stay in one of them. Our room was also beautiful, I loved the size of the bathroom. The TV had a chromecast function which enabled us to watch Netflix and that was awesome :) I felt that everything was thought out and 100% functional. An iron and ironing board was a plus! I was blown away by the quality, it is usually my deal breaker when a hotel doesn't have an iron and smart TV in the 21st CENTURY! The restaurant was exquisite! The views were spectacular, especially from the restaurant side. I am not an influencer but I was temped the take "INSTAGRAM PHOTOS" (which I may or may have not taken *winks* ) The whole setup and design is very elegant. We spent our third day within the premises and we loved every minute of it. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times. Did I mention the WIFI? I had coverage all around the premises which was quite convenient!
Well, you asked for it. Please note that this comes from an understanding that the Hotel is still new and will definitely get better over time. The food on our first night was underwhelming. The dishes were predominantly sweet and very difficult to enjoy. We had the chicken drumlets as a starter on our first night. They were very thick and way too sweet (I would much rather have had KFC dunked wings), I only managed to eat one of the four of them because I was very hungry. My main was the pork and noodle dish, again, sweeter than any desert I've ever had. It barely went down. Maybe there's something wrong with taste buds- I don't know but I did not enjoy my super, it all went to waste. I didn't even do a takeaway of my main- it was that bad! Secondly: The bedding could be better but it's nothing to worry about as I have the same problem with many other hotels- we managed to get our own comfortable fleece blankets from a shopping centre nearby , so not a big deal. Thirdly: It was a bit frustrating to only get 1 shower gel when there were two guests in the room. On our 3rd day, I had to call and ask for an additional shower gel. Lastly, I wasn't expecting to see cockroaches there but I killed a couple of them during our stay in our room- so I think a little fumigation can do some magic. Once again, all or some of the above can improve over time. None of them were a deal breaker for us, we will definitely visit again and recommend to friends! :)

Comfortable Safari Stay
The property is new and everything is still crisp and fresh!
The SPA is still not operating, what a let down. Half-board offering was very limited in the variety of food on offer. The restaurant or eatery, the staff have not found their rhythm yet, their attention to tables need improvement. The feeling and experience is not a five star hotel yet, ie. No turndown service, no sleepers and robes in the rooms.

The location of the hotel, staff was friendly from booking until arrival and during our stay.
The romantic dinner we requested was a disaster. Food was cold and came late. Normal dinner did take an hour to be served
